I am not sure if this will help you resolve the issue or not, but thought I'd add the info. This allowed me to access the free version. Per a suggestion from was able to get it properly installed using Ninite. Just because we aren't sure what is causing the problem, I'm in the US and it is affecting me. They also have anti-virus protection, but Malwarebytes finds so much of the other junk. Since it's on the desktop, they can do it easily. If they are having an issue with their computer, the first thing I have them do is run Malwarebytes.
Many of my clients are in their 60s, 70s, and 80s. You have a great product, please don't spoil it by forcing email submission or people will stop using it. I've got nothing against free AV packet but I've got another AV (I use Malwarebytes as additional scanner to check is everything is okay).
